Terms of Use
1 Acceptance of Terms
These Terms of Use ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("User" or "you") and JEWEALITY (represented by developer Mahesh Varma, "we", "us", or "our") concerning your access to and use of the Charger Tester mobile application and related web pages.
By downloading, installing, accessing, or using Charger Tester, you agree that you have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by all of these Terms of Use. If you do not agree with all of these terms, you are expressly prohibited from using the application and must uninstall it immediately.
2 Description of Service & Features
Charger Tester is an Android diagnostic and monitoring utility designed to assist users in evaluating their device's charging performance. The features provided by the application include:
- Real-Time Power Gauge: Real-time calculation and display of charging wattage (W), battery current (mA / µA), voltage (mV), and battery temperature.
- Speed Tier Classification: Intelligent categorization of charging rates (e.g., USB-C PD Super Fast, Fast Charging, Normal, or Slow Charging).
- Charging History & Diagnostics: Automated tracking of charging sessions, battery gain percentage, peak wattage, energy added (mWh), and elapsed time.
- Background Monitoring: Optional foreground service to record charge curves continuously while the screen is locked.
3 Accuracy & Hardware Sensor Disclaimer
Charger Tester retrieves electrical data provided by your Android device’s operating system and internal hardware sensors (via android.os.BatteryManager).
Please take note of the following factors:
- OEM Kernel Variations: Different smartphone manufacturers report current and voltage with varying degrees of precision and polling intervals. Certain devices report net current (charging current minus screen/CPU consumption), while others report gross battery input.
- Thermal Throttling & Fast Charge Stages: Modern fast charging protocols (such as USB-PD, PPS, VOOC, or QC) naturally taper charging speeds as the battery approaches higher percentages (especially above 80%) or when the device battery heats up. This is a hardware safety feature of your device, not an application error.
- Non-Certified Cables: Poor quality or damaged charging cables introduce electrical resistance that reduces wattage. Charger Tester can help identify underperforming accessories, but software readings should not be used as official calibration benchmarks.
4 Safe Charging Practices & User Responsibility
Charger Tester is strictly a passive monitoring application. It does NOT modify, bypass, or alter your device’s power management chips, charging controllers, or manufacturer safety limits.
By using the application, you acknowledge and agree that:
- You remain solely responsible for using genuine, certified, and undamaged power adapters, cables, and outlets compatible with your device.
- You will not leave charging devices unattended under conditions that restrict airflow or promote overheating (e.g., under pillows, in direct sunlight, or under blankets).
- If your device exhibits extreme heat or swelling, immediately disconnect the charger and seek certified hardware repair.
5 Intellectual Property Rights
Unless otherwise indicated, the application, including its source code, database architecture, design layouts, graphics, icons, visual themes, algorithms, and logos are the proprietary intellectual property of JEWEALITY (Mahesh Varma) and are protected by applicable copyright, trademark, and intellectual property laws.
We grant you a revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable, personal license to download, install, and use the application on your personal Android device solely for personal, non-commercial purposes.
